Welcome to our website,We are DX'ers that offer professional use of radio for the enjoyment of all and to the benefit of our hobby.

We thought we could tell you a little about ourselves,We both started to DX many years ago from our QTH'S around 25km south of Sydney,We live close by and have the same passion for DX and travel so we decided to team up,If possible we try to activate as a team or solo whenever we go around Australia or the world,We always try to find something new to activate and have many new activations planned for the future,Getting time off work and the cost are our only barriers.

Some Equipment we regularly take, Depending on location and needs.

  • Kenwood TS50
  • Kenwood TS850s
  • Icom IC-735
  • Yeasu FL2100z
  • Diawa switch mode power supply
  • Kenwood PS430
  • 3 element Homebrew Monoband Yagi
  • 2 element V-Quad
  • 1/2 wave vertical
  • Various Dipoles
  • Honda generators
  • Bits and pieces:coax,soldering gear,connectors,wire,rope,poles,fuses,       U bolts,tools etc

We can take lots of equipment but we only need what is necessary practical and lightweight to take depending on the journey undertaken. But we always take plenty of coax and various spare parts for makeshift repairs in case something does go wrong as most of the time there no shops to purchase anything that is needed.

Moments we have encounted on the light side of life.

  • Hair raising flights in small aircraft, nearly hitting trees due to wind and mad pilots
  • Power blackouts in the middle of pileups
  • Fuel shortage for generators "aaahhh cant DX"
  • No food on some locations, rations only
  • Luggage overweight problems, be nice and we always get though!
  • Antennas not fit in small aircraft
  • Rained out then attacked by leeches
  • Freezing nights
  • Kicked out of hotels due to DXing noise
  • Kicked out of National parks due to noise from generator by Rangers
  • No propagation

We like everyone have come across these problems, Some could be expected but they mostly are not and really they are not too good when they occur, But when you look back and remember you can have a good laugh with a story to tell.

Some of our hobbies/sports we have tried or still doing

I think between us we have tried a few different things,The way to look at it is if one of us wont try it the other will.
